Oh my gosh! This is a fantastic piece of work! The colors and the the warmth from the lights and store fronts are glorious compared to the cool of the the sky overhead! The echos of color on the wet pavement are lovely too! This is amazing!!
Wow, it's gorgeous. I don't know about critiquing it, but what about putting up lessons online for us kids? I personally would love to know your technique, since it's... just wow Again, this is incredible.
Stunning feeling of colors, i lost myself travelling with the eyes in this paint. I saw cars driven by ghosts, i felt the heat of the lightbulbs and cold of the sky, i dipped my feet in the reflections, i passed among strangers and in the end i met a fairy crossing the buildings.
This is absolutely gorgeous. I love how you gave the piece movement and vibrance with the brushstrokes, but you still incorporate clear distinct forms. If I had the money I would definitely buy this beautiful painting as a print.
I think that what fascinates me most about this picture is the ground with all its reflections and the "wet" look. Those fine strokes make a good contrast to the ones used on the buildings or the sky-scene. One thing that stands out too much in my opinionthough is the light surrounding the lantern. It seems a bit too harsh and dark. But seeing that I'm not too familiar with this painting style, I can only state my humble opinion
Amazing! I love the way you worked around the color wheel for your shadows and highlights. The contour strokes of your brush really help give everything a nice sense of shape and form. This painting has a lot of energy!
