COPENHAGEN BY AFREMOV by Leonidafremov COPENHAGEN BY AFREMOV by Leonidafremov
This is an original oil on canvas. I use only a palette-knife for painting. I have not used a brush in this painting. I use only natural oil paint and 100% pure cotton canvas. This painting will be available for auction on www.afremov.com

Each original oil painting by Leonid Afremov is truly a one-of-a-kind unique piece of art. With his artwork in private and public collections throughout the world, the purchase of an Afremov original is a great investment as his artwork continues to appreciate.

this painting and all of them are stunning! I can't believe you haven't used a brush to apply the paint!

I believe you have a real talent with illumination. A much different approach than Thomas Kinkade for example, but more favorable to me. I love the vibrancy and heat I feel from the warm colors against the dark. I love your technique for reflections as well. :)

I am curious- how thick is the paint on top of the canvas with finished products? Also, do you typically use colors straight from the tube and mix them one the canvas as they blend together, or do you like to make your own colors first on a palette?

I love the bright but warm tone of the painting.
Also, the chaos of the sky is frighteningly meaningful and beautiful.
The way you projected that chaos in a sobered but still extravagant manner on the water is remarkable.
The boat is perfect and the tone is crazy.
I love it. :D
