" I believe that art helps us to be free from aggression and depression. "
You spoke exactly my feeling about art, I had forgotten that essence, then get inspired to draw again, one can not escape the art, one can not escape the gift that it is designed. Very grateful to hear such beautiful balavras!
Sir, i am your big fan. And i'll be in your debt if you please give me some tips on knife painting. I've tried it so many times but i couldn't just do it properly. i am a student of high school in india. i've been your fan since i've known how to paint.
I've only found out about your work yesterday but completely fell in love with every painting !! Your work is very inspiring, joyful and brings such a good mood !! I hope to see many more of your creations
I think what I love the most about your work is every single painting has its own perspective, mood, and variety of color; I, personally, enjoy your use of color because it makes the scene you are trying to paint seem more sensational and more breath taking. I agree with you; true art starts inside, maybe even before you realize what it is that makes something inspirational or eye catching, and I believe that, despite humanity's falws, it is something that we have been blessed with. Art is amazing and I love seeing all the things that people create with their many talents. And what a luxury!! I wish I could paint/draw every single day! T^T But alas, school must come first...Not that painting every day would help me anyways (is a total sloth when it comes to painting) XD I look forward to seeing more of your work!

you think he sounds like a douche? i dont wanna argue with you but i feel like i have to defend him. i think its wonderful when people enjoy their own talent as mch as everyone else around them and they feel they are free to tell that they are 'good' becouse they know that they ARE 'good'. this guy clearly got a strong sense of selfesteem and selfvalue but he is also true to himself as on all his paintings he has requested critics to become even better. he seems like he is completely honest to himself, and therefore he cant brag and shit becouse he doesnt change the thruth. if he says he is very good he probably is. being this honest to himself and everyone around makes him fuly in contact with artexpression.
i am myself trying, and getting there slowly, to be at this point with myself! its all about the most valuable thing in your life....your selfesteem!
No, I meant that. Self esteemers think "Gosh! I'm great!" Humble people don't care too much what others think about them and aren't thinking about themselves all that much so they're pretty free, honest, and (sometimes)loving, and I love that about them. With "great" self esteem, in the end you get a narcissist (that's what our friend up there is calling a douchebag)... something that's not that hot. Believer me, I've been one.

Intresting conversation...i always thought true selfesteem is being humble, not afraid to show weakness, being hoinest with ur skills etc, just what u said. what you call selfesteem i wold more call a blind sense of self belief in yourself.
I think u can be the most humble nicest person ever but if you dont have any selfesteem you will never treasure ur own stuff. ive been on that path myslf. Just like u i have also had problems and ive been thinkin alot bout these stuff. and i love to discuss them! Bout "gosh, im great!"...i say that sometimes about my art!! But i mostly say stuff that could be imrpoved and what i like and not like. Im very honest, both about what i think is good and bad. I think people can sense that and know im not bragging. May i ask u exactly what who u were and how u changed?
Yes... having a selfesteem is the same as being a douchebag... kinda. And there's nothing wrong about it XD I don't know him in person, so I can't tell what he's like, but how he writes it sounds he's a douchebag. And I couldn't care less because I only watch him for his art
After reading, it is apparent to me that he wrote the first part himself, and the second part was actually written by someone else. If you compare the two, the poor English in the first paragraph is common to someone who does not speak it as a first language, however the second and third are written beautifully and sound as if they were written by someone else for him. Also, the part that may sound "Douchey" kind of does, but considering the fact that he is one of the most recognized artists in the WORLD today, I'd say it is an understatement.
The second part is also used on the web or when you search "Leonid Afrmeow". I think that it's pretty obvious that he used some kind of spell checker there. But I've never seen the first paragraph before, it does look like something he just wrote whilst submitting this, thus he didn't use a spell checker. He doesn't seem that well known either. Anyways, he think that he's good at what he does, which he is, (I love his art!) thus is very proud and isn't scared to say so which is the part I hate most about artists.

thanks for your reply, intresting. hes amazing style made me basicly wonder if this is a genre hes simply "following", like we have all these invented styles...but i guess its really hes own style, and thats cool.
Hello Mr. Afremov! It's so nice to see you I would just like to say that art truly is a wonderful thing for the souls of those who make and who appreciate it. Your style is not extremely common, as well as your use of colors, and together you create magnificent pieces that inspire.
