this is impressive and wonderful. i love the lightning and the colors of this painting, do you use something for the paint to be thicker? my difficulty with painting with palettes is that i never know where to start first cause i'm always ending up messing a beautiful part by adding paint next to it. i dont have any negative points sooo good job (:
Definately one of my all time favorites that you've made thus far. What makes it so appealing to me is that, the subject matter of the trees in a sunrise or sunset is so simplistic yet entirely enchanting (reminds me of the woods I live in actually which is always lovely to see a similariry of).
What makes me love this so much more is that I'm always ALWAYS loving bright vibrant colors (which all your paintings have) but this painting in particular stands out to me more because it has a greater percentage of deeper and darker contrasting colors. I'd say it was 40% glow and 60% shadows, and all the contrast makes the brighter colors POP so much more dramatically. That, and the fact that there is a single focus of this painting. That being the light shining through the trees and the various shades of light and shadows. In some paintings I find myself having difficulties in absorbing everything and trying to find a focal point since there are so many things to look at in a single painting. But this, this is just sheer elegance. <3
