I don't know how you capture an atmosphere so well. I have spent many snowy sunsets in the woods, and I can feel those experiences in this painting. You have a talent that I can barely comprehend.

Very beautiful and impressive. I'm in love with those cold and warm combination of colors, they give very special and unique atmosphere.

It looks somehow as if the air between the trees froze into the ice and the sun was shining through it

I love the vibrant colours and the reflections in the water. Strangely enough the light comes through even better on the thumbnail - but I imagine that I'd see the same thing in the actual painting. To look at it at screen is a bit like standing too close to a painting on a wall.

Anyway: great work!

I loved the reflection on the water. But the sunset(or rise?) doesnt look as it is supposed to. Its like there is a wall painted with sunrise half a meter behind the treeline. Some tree's details could be obliterated but the sunlight, but I think you needed to draw the trees that are not directly in line with the sun more defined to bring them forward & seperate them from the background. Also you could add defined shadows to the trees that are directly in front of the sun and add those shadows some nice curves to define the shape of the land in a way that matches your current definition of the land with the shading. I think this piece is good but it could have been a lot better with some care & details.
