It's generous, but it's also confusing. You make it sound like your paintings are selling for between $1000-$2000. If they are, then I would be pretty angry if I bought one for that price and then found out that I could have bought one for $99 a short time after. Seems like you're devaluing your work. In addition, the rest of the pieces on your site always have a 'Gallery Estimated Value'. How do you come up with these numbers? Do your works actually sell for these prices in a gallery? If so, then again, that is really not fair to customers paying those prices. Furthermore, I can't imagine galleries actually being willing to carry your work. Being an artist myself, I know that if I sell works for less on my website than in the galleries, the gallery owners would cease to carry my work (and probably spread the word to other galleries). Now, if you works aren't actually selling for those prices in galleries, then really what you are doing is deceiving your customers. I mean, don't get me wrong, I understand the financial benefit of what your doing, but honestly, I think it's a very short-sighted strategy.
