Wow, this painting is amazing, even amongst your other paintings of trees, reflections, paths, and people. When I look at this painting, there is such a feeling of calm, of being centered. It seems as if the fog is embracing the figure. I love the way the street lights and the trees blend in with each other. The contrast between the interesting brilliant colors in the foreground and the soft cool colors in the background and how the warm figure is surrounded by cool blue, to me, gives the feeling of letting go of the chaotic busy thoughts and concerns in this world, in order to just be. I love that the figure is standing where the cool and warm colors meet, as though (s)he were starting a new journey, on the edge of a new beginning. The white surrounding the figure reminds me of hope. I find myself drawn to drink in every small section of this painting, as well as the whole. I love the triangle of blue and white sky above the trees. To me this triangle seems to make the difference in the figure appearing to become lost in some inner journey and finding him/herself connected to the world. This painting is beautiful.
