You guys do realize that we have a much more intricate knowledge of the way the human body works than they did in the middle ages. The heart pumps blood, it is not the seat of neurological activity; the brain is. Furthermore, it is incredibly unlikely that the "soul" exists. I believe that most people, when they say "the soul or the heart" really mean to say "the brain," so why don't we just say "the brain?" I hate turns of phrase
most of all, art comes from Singularity... It can make appear or disappear... Art is a matter of phenomena. Think a supernova exploding, or appearing from the nothing, even the Big Bang itself, or even the collision of an asteroid with planet Earth in the end of the Cretaceous Period... That's all the same with Arts, because it's a "great explosion", be it from the "nothingness" or for the sake of mankind's deeper transformation/evolution. Art exists in this dimension even before mankind... thus cannot be understood by mere human terms...
