First of all, this is absolutely stunning - your eye-catching arrangement of the scene, combined with the fresh use of relevant colours and layered technique gives this piece a tranquil, autumn kind of feel. The brush work is relevant and detailed, the consistent use of similar strokes integrating the background smoothly with the fore. The angle of the bench combined with the positioning of the lamp-post in the hind gives the work depth, the tall canvas concluding the detailed work. The subtle addition of the purples and blues found in the background gives the piece warmth, the light oranges and yellows having a solid colour to relate to, keeping the piece appealing to the eyes. All in all a lovely painting, the technique and execution really well done.
