This painting reminds me of someone lost in their love of music. It shows her playing and feels full of movement. The long strokes on the bottom seem reminiscent of water, while the small patches of color on the top remind me of stars. This she seems in tune with nature through music. Also the buildings on the left that seem immersed in both the broad strokes and dots feel like home, perhaps a home village. The long strokes and tilted angle of the house reminds me of drowning, but in this context seems to me to be more of a drowning in music, than of distress. The small patches of color at top of the buildings seems to evoke a feeling of wonder. The closed eyes of the figure seems to indicate an inner journey. As a whole the piece reminds me of letting go of control, immersion into the music, something higher than herself, and a resultant peace in the moment, like someone flowing with a strong current rather than struggling against it. Another beautiful piece. Out of all your work I have seen, this is one of the ones that has touched me most emotionally. It's wonderful, thank you for sharing it with us.
